Entries are now open for the 2026 PIC Harbour Classic, Auckland’s inclusive, social, and spectacular sailing event. With just five weeks until the weekend of 20-22 March, Jellicoe Harbour will be buzzing as the city’s waterfront turns into a floating village full of boats.

This year, 36 Degrees has come on board as a sponsor with their three new boat brands Beneteau, Lagoon and Excess. They recognise that the PIC Harbour Classic is perfect for sailors who enjoy cruising but want to be part of a fun, big fleet without the stress of competitive racing. 36 Degrees represents Excess, for the catamaran performance fleet and Lagoon, for the cruising multihulls, while Beneteau rounds out the brand alignment for the monohull division -  providing a perfect fit to support each part of the fleet.

“Events like the PIC Harbour Classic are exactly what our audience enjoys,” says Robbs Hielkema from 36 Degrees. “It gives sailors a chance to experience a fun, social fleet, enjoy the excitement of sailing alongside other boats, and take part in something big on the water – culminating in a memorable experience.”

The PIC Harbour Classic offers a full weekend of racing, social events, and the much-loved onboard afterparty. With boats again mooring at Jellicoe Harbour/ North Wharf, the downtown waterfront provides an unbeatable backdrop for sailors and spectators alike.

“We started with a small fleet in year one, grew to 55 boats in year two, and had over 80 enter last year, not bad for a very new, different style of event,” says NZMYC Commodore Adrian Percival. “From what we hear around the traps, this year looks set to be even bigger.
